Perhaps a statement pant isn’t for everyone, but if it is for you, check these out and let us know in the comments which one you’re most likely to wear. The beauty of a custom wardrobe is in customizing it to you and your preferences. I hope you’ll find something you love and share it with a friend!
Outfit #One
By playing into the pastel shade on the pants and adding more complimentary pastel shades to your outfit, you tie the whole look together.
Sometimes trying to create a colorful look can be difficult because the colors are trying to compete too much with each other. To avoid the beauty of each individual color getting lost in a collision of rainbow madness, try to pick a general color shade for the whole outfit, instead of contrasting colors. In this case, the pastels, though boldly different colors, work well together because of the shades.
I don’t have an office, but if I did, you can be sure I would be wearing this to it.
Fit Details:
- Shirt and vest were bought from a local Peruvian store
- Shoes
Outfit #Two
A little more casual, go for some neutral colors on the base. This outfit is great for layering during colder weather, pairs well with a beanie, and can be styled up or down depending on your added accessories.
This is a great running errand look. It’s comfy, stylish, practical, and casual.

- Jean Jacket was purchased from a local store in PerΓΊ
- Shoes
Outfit #Three
Along the same lines as the previous one, only incorporating a different jacket this time. Going for matching basics on top really brings a totally different vibe to this one. Bringing the bright tone of the outfit down a notch and elevating the look to be just a bit more classy and elegant.
Try adding a beanie or black hoodie underneath the jacket for colder temperatures and swapping out the bright sneakers for black ones or boots/booties.
I would also pair this outfit with a black fanny pack, like this one, but swap the strap for a Rocknot strap to step up my accessory game.

- Jean Jacket was purchased from a local store in PerΓΊ
- Shoes
Outfit #Four
Want to know how to style a cute date night or girl’s night out look with your statement pants? Try adding some whimsical pieces to your look. Lean into a cute hairstyle and maybe even add some hair accessories like a headband or butterfly clips.
Pair your look with a cropped jacket, floral body suit, and try swapping out the sneakers for a more dainty shoe.
Fit Details:
- Jean Jacket was thrifted, but it’s Levi’s brand. You can check their jacket’s page for something similar.
- Shoes
- Bodysuit is actually a swimsuit I bought years ago from O’Neill. They no longer carry this specific one, but they have the prettiest swimsuits.
Outfit #Five
You can style your statement pants with so many prints and patterns! Use your imagination and dig around in your closet, you might be surprised to find some combinations go better than you would have originally thought.
Take this outfit for example, bright green jeans paired with an animal print, topped with an oversized jean jacket? Yes, please!
Fit Details:
- Jean Jacket was purchased from a local store in PerΓΊ
- Shoes
- Animal Print is from O’Neill. It’s actually – don’t laugh at me – a romper. I was trying to give styling inspo, though this outfit would certainly work better with a bodysuit or something less bulky instead. You can find more O’Neill animal print pieces here.
Outfit #Six
Though this outfit adds a lot of colors, the top is actually quite muted in tone. Despite the fact that there isn’t actually any green in the top. Pulling out the slightly darker blue shades in the top and the bright orange purse really bring this look together. While the added beanie leans into the casual look.
For extra warmth layer a dark jacket over the top and add some mittens. With that, you’re out the door and looking fabulous!
Fit Details:
- Shirt – the shop I bought this from no longer exists.
- Purse was a custom-made piece from Benji and Frankie’s Shop
- Shoes
Outfit #Seven
This outfit emanates sporty, cool vibes. The only thing that would make it better is if we swapped the cropped red shirt for another color. That option is unavailable in my closet, so we’re working with what we’ve got. If any of you put together this same outfit with a different color top, tag me on Instagram @DoorsAndFloorsBlog I’d love to see how your look comes together!
Fit Details:
- Black Shirt – Option A
- Option BΒ β Here are two similar options for you as Athleta doesnβt carry this top anymore
- Red Shirt is just a plain T-shirt I thrifted, like this one, and I cut the bottom 2/3 of the shirt off.
- Shoes
Outfit #Eight
This look is in the details. The shirt, though dark, in the right light brings a complimentary color to the dark green in these pants. The gold in the belt buckle elevates the dark green in a way no clothes could.
To really bring this look across the finish line, add some matching gold details to your outfit through jewelry, your purse or purse strap, and the shoes you pair with this.
On that note, dark green and gold are a lovely combination. If you have more gold in your wardrobe, like a blouse, blazer, or jacket, try swapping that for the deep purple top in this example and see how you like it.
Fit Details:
- Shirt
- Belt was bought in PerΓΊ from a local store
Outfit #Nine
This outfit draws a line between colors and creates a beautiful look with green on green and pink on pink. Because the bottoms are a baggier fit, try to make the top a tighter, more cinched waist. Aim to maintain a general uniform shade across the look to keep everything looking sharp and professional.
By the way – not only can you learn how to make these pants, but you can also learn how to make this pink corset top for yourself! Check out our post, How To Make An Anthropologie-Inspired Corset Top to learn all the details about how to bring this corset piece to life!
Outfit #Ten
For a more date night-worthy look, pick a sheer, lacy, top and really lean into the accessories. And shoes, I definitely recommend different shoes than playful sneakers. Maybe try a bootie that matches your top.
Break out the hat you only wear for special occasions, style your hair and makeup, and add some jewelry. If you’re going out for the night and need a jacket, try pairing it with a long black trench coat or leather jacket.
I would pair this outfit with a black fanny pack, like this one, but swap the strap for a Rocknot strap to really customize my outfit and add some sparkle.
Fit Details:
- Blouse
- Shoes
- Hat was bought at the Indian Market in PerΓΊ
That’s all the outfit inspo I have for you in this post! Remember to go back and check out the first Ten Ways To Style A Statement Pant. What did you think? Would you style any of these outfits?
