Looking for a casual way to style a statement pant this fall? Grab your fun shoes, a beanie, and a sleeveless hoodie.
Adding layers with accessories, the way you style your hair and building off of a base neutral color can quickly bring your fun, playful look together. If the temperatures drop, try adding an extra jacket or swapping the sleeveless hoodie for an oversized one – with sleeves.
I know this outfit is already quite loud, but personally, I’d step it up another notch and pair it with a black fanny pack, like this one, but swap the strap for a sparkly, braided Rocknot strap. The sparkle of these straps really brings so much fun to any outfit and pairs well with almost anything!
Fit Details:
- Beanie was purchased in PerΓΊ at the Indian Market
- Shoes
Outfit #Two
Try adding texture on top of texture! Not all textures and patterns go together, of course, but play around with what’s in your closet, you may be surprised to find that corduroy pairs well with a satin top, or other silky materials. Consider adding volume through puffy sleeves and ruffles!
What other elegant tops would you wear when you style a statement pant?

Outfit #Three
Plain. Simple. And easy. Adding a basic sweater to your look is a perfect, classic look to tone down the boldness of the pants a little. Consider adding a button-up with a fun collar and unzipping the quarter zip on your sweater to add a little flare.
Pair these with a matching white shoe or heel, add some accessories, and layer with a jacket if the weather is colder.
Outfit #Four
A simple tank top that shows some skin is a great summer look for your statement pants. Consider adding a flannel around your waist for later when temperatures drop.
Play around with your jewelry and hairdo to really bring this look together.

- Tank Top Option B – Here are two similar options for you as Athleta doesn’t carry this top anymore

- Button-Up
Outfit #Five
If I have learned nothing else from playing around and trying to style a statement pant – 20 different ways by the way! – I have learned that these pants look amazing the bolder your outfit gets.
This rainbow jumper, and rainbow shoes for that matter, though neither technically have the color of the pants in them, perfectly pull together the whole outfit and create an incredibly fun look! Sometimes toning down your statement pants is the better way to go, and other times making a statement of the whole outfit could be just the look for you.
Never be afraid to play with color or fun pieces! Go bold, play around with your closet, and have fun when you style a statement pant.

There are so many fun ways you can style a statement pant, from bold colors in rainbow collections, to bringing in just one more bold color and adding in a neutral. Corduroy on corduroy is a total look.
Because the pants are a little on the looser fit, I recommend pairing them with a tighter-fitted top, like a cute corset. For warmth, add a extra layers and a beanie.

Outfit #Seven
This look is perfect for going out in the winter or fall time. Keeping the majority of your outfit neutral in black or gray tones and adding a scarf that matches your pants, or is just a few shades off from it, really creates an elegant, statement look you can rock all winter long.
Fit Details:
- Scarf was bought in PerΓΊ at the Indian Market
- Jacket wad bought in PerΓΊ at a local shop
- Shoes
Outfit #Eight
Pairing with florals or shapes can totally bring the outfit together, so long as you stay in the same color family.
Wear this to a barbecue or casual family gathering. For added fun, play with some jewelry options, and change up the shoes, hair, and makeup!
Fit Details:
- Shirt is from O’Neill a few years ago. I’m not seeing anything super similar in design/print, but they have a lot of pretty florals if you look around!
Outfit #Nine
Bring out all the textures and colors with this one! Grab a button-up with a color tone that compliments the color of your pants. Added a vest in the same color family and grab some bright crochet accessories.
I love how the thicker texture of the bag compliments the texture of the corduroy pants.
Fit Details:
- Bag a custom-make from Banji And Frankie’s Shop
- Vest was bought from a store in PerΓΊ
- Shirt

And finally, the original way I styled these pants. Get out your statement boots, and some matching accessories to complete the monochromatic look. Try adding a splash of white to tie it all together.
This look is great because leaning into a monochromatic look and accenting with black, white, or silver makes the whole outfit tie together. Instead of struggling to find pieces that go well together, grab all the pieces you can find in the same color family. It makes the outfit come together quickly and easily without any added stress.

- Vest was bought from a store in PerΓΊ
