Jumping right in, to answer the questions of how to pursue your interests and passions in life…you have to have a safe space for it. That is the answer.
And the place and the how is here. This page. This category and place. It is for me and I hope it will be for you.
This is the page for fun. For dreams of all shapes and sizes. This is the space where we encourage each other to pursue those interests.
If you ever thought about making your dream Pinterest wardrobe, this is what the Pursuing Interests page is for. For pursuing your Pinterest interests and inspirations.

Some Examples
Do you ever find yourself scrolling social media or the internet, watching a movie or you pass someone on the street and you come across something so amazing youβd just love to have it…if only it were another time, the price was different, you had the time, the material, the money, the product looked like it was better quality or any number of excuses.
This space is for that. For pursuing interests. ToΒ create those interests.
This space is for anything and everything that catches our attention. Itβs a safe space.
Now don’t get me wrong, I understand that sometimes you can get things for cheaper than creating them yourself. Sometimes you can find that item in a more authentic way and better, and get it faster. I totally get that. But sometimes we creative people still want to create it ourselves, even if the material costs more than just ordering the item online.
Sometimes life is about that journey and experience and the joy it brings you in creating something yourself and the journey to pursue your interests. It’s not about the simplicity, ease, and convenience of using your credit card. At least for me, maybe I’m the only one. Hah, hah.
So essentially, to beat a dead horse, this is your creative corner safe space.
Doors And Floors
Update: We’ve made these pants! Check out the tutorial here.
Doors and Floors was created with the intent of helping you create the life you want. However you want. Wherever you want. Without chronic pain limitations.
Essentially that means, you are free to dream and grow and roam in any imaginable way. And I want to push and encourage you to do that.
I believe that everyone has some “doors and floors” that make them who they are. That is, (Doors) interests and desires, and (Floors) foundational things that make up your life.
This is the space for expressing that.
Pursuing Interests
The Pursing Interests page is a spot for us to dive deeper into the “doors” (interests and desires) in our lives and to really pursue what excites us most. Including, but not limited to, creating your dream Pinterest wardrobe.
I include you in these sentences because I’ve got a handful of people who I’m currently talking to and collaborating with to create things that make them feel happy, powerful, and gorgeous in their own skin. We’ve created some fun projects for this very purpose!
Some Creative Inspo
Update: We’ve made this corset belt – full tutorial here.
Perhaps pursuing interests for you looks like creating a cozy jacket, a fairytale dress, or even if one day you desire to save the planet.
That’s the point. Pursuing Interests is for just that. For all of that. For the pursuit. Itβs a place to say, βGet out there! Do it! Go!β Itβs a place that has no limitations, no rules, no judgmentβ¦only dreams.
Any dream that you can think of. If you see it and you want it-I hope you will put in the effort to create it! I’m here to be your biggest cheerleader!
Go make your dream Pinterest wardrobe! Go pursue your interests!
Creating Your Dream Pinterest Wardrobe
So hereβs to all the dreamers and groundbreakers. To all of us who wake up in the morning and tell ourselves that we can be and create anything we dream of, we must only pursue and fight for it.
And here’s to all of us who already have a board full of Pinterest outfit inspiration, house designs, or a collection of recipes. Here’s to you, because you are a dreamer. No matter what you’re dreaming of, I encourage you to pursue it! Even if it is a complicated and scary-looking doughnut recipe…yeah, I fell down that hole too.
And hereβs to the next projects. Perhaps an amazing red dress, the best ever overalls (or shortalls!), a custom-made cat scratcher for the baby dinosaurs in your life, or even a sofa.
Can you tell I have so many ideas and projects already planned out?! My shelf already has the fabric, and my mind is already drafting blueprints and patterns. I am so ready to get started on my dream Pinterest wardrobe!
Whatever your heart says is a worthy dream, I hope youβll pursue that. Whether crafting, traveling or any number of things. This is the space for creating and bringing dreams to life.
Iβm ready for the next adventure! Are you? Letβs start pursuing interests!
Tag me on Instagram @doorsandfloorsblog with the hashtag #PursuingInterests whenever you create something that’s a pursuit of an interest of yours.
You can check out some of our travel adventures here or come see some of the things we’ve created already!
My goal with this page, this category of Pursuing Interests, is for you and me to go conquer the world. …It doesnβt have to be the whole world, just our own little worlds. Just enough for us to say about our lives, “I am proud of who I am, where I am, and I have taken control of my life. I have built the life that makes me happy.” Or something like that. And if at any point your life stops making you happy, change it. Because you control your life. You design it.
I feel like I should be patting you on the back and sending you out to face the world with a sack lunch. “Good luck! I believe in you and am proud of you! You’ve got this! Go make yourself proud today!” I’ll say as I wave.
Let me know in the comments what projects you’re thinking of creating! What dream items have you had in the back of your head for months?
