The Lima flower market, or Mercado de Flores has the biggest selection of plants, florals and potted plants in all of Perú. If you like flowers or plants or are in the market to buy a birthday bouquet or anniversary gift, the Mercado de Flores is a place you definitely have to check out.
From row upon row of plants, dirt, and pottery, I cannot wait for you to see all the beauty this place has to offer!

Mercado de Flores
Located in Rimac, Mercado de Flores has almost any kind of plant you can imagine. If they don’t have it, there’s usually a good chance they can get it for you.
From roses to bamboo to custom bouquets with balloons. This place offers birthday wishes, anniversaries, planters, fruit and fruit trees. You can get all kinds of seeds, coconut trees, lavender, bananas, apples, and so many kinds of other trees. The flower market is the go-to place for all your plant wishes.
From start to finish, the market is nearly a kilometer long (about half a mile), and it has four rows of shopping. This place is gorgeous to explore! I don’t know what I would do with all these flower pots and plants, but I want to buy them all.
Honestly, it’s all so pretty, that I want to do a photoshoot in the flower section. It’s probably not allowed, but a girl can dream.
A Few Pictures From The Flower Market In Perú
You can buy trees of all different kinds and sizes. We’ve bought coconut plants, kiwi, límon trees, a coffee plant, several different kinds of bananas, and many other plants. There are so many different vendors here, bringing plants from all over Perú.
You can get custom-made wreaths for special occasions, like weddings and birthday parties.
You could also buy fresh flowers and fruit trees to plant in your garden.
Here you can see some flower options to build your own bouquet. Or purchase a bucket of flower petals to scatter around at an event.
I like to buy flowers from this area so I can put together flower crowns or bouquets when I take pictures for my styling posts. If you check out this post you can see how I utilized the purple flowers we bought at the flower market in Perú.
I use a kit like this to put together flower crowns when I model them for my DIYs.
I hope you enjoyed this brief tour of the flower market in Perú. What did you think, will you ever visit the flower market in Perú?
If you made it this far in the post, tell me in the comments what your favorite flower is! My favorite are girasoles (sunflowers).
