Totally revamping your closet can be pricey, but it can especially be worrisome to commit to the spend when you’re not sure where to start or if items will even perform as well as their (very distant) plastic cousins do. That’s where this tried and tested list comes in. Plus – I’ve got tips for how to get your non-toxic, natural-fiber clothing at a discounted price.

Before we hop into our non-toxic, natural-fiber clothing recs, I wanted to start off by pointing out some similar posts, in case you’re less interested in, say, t-shirts and jeans, and more interested in activewear.

Now let’s talk tips for saving $$$
It’s not all about the money – but I mean, some non-toxic, natural-fiber options out there come with a price tag that’s shadowed by ouch. That doesn’t mean natural-fiber isn’t the way to go; it just means it’s time to scavenge for discounts.
- Online thrifting – if you’re not opposed to secondhand, Poshmark is a great way to save money on clothes. That being said, not everything on Posh is used. You can find things new with tags, you’ve just got to look for it.

- Beni – is a browser (on desktop or phone) add-in that helps you find discounts without you having to put all the effort in. All you have to do is enable it and then shop on your regular websites. Beni will pop up with a link to the same item on a secondhand shop when there are options available. (Psst, really recommend this for some of your more expensive items, including wedding dresses.) Did I mention Beni is free? So really, there’s nothing to lose.
- Rakuten – another browser add-in for both phone and desktop which gives you cash back and a sign-up bonus just by activating the extension when you do your normal, everyday online shopping. (You have to spend a minimum of $50 on your first purchase to qualify for the sign-up bonus.) Rakuten takes all the work out of coupon shopping and puts money back in your pocket.
- Black Friday – of course, if you can wait until Black Friday, that’s usually the best time of year to buy things brand new, directly from the website. Really recommend you use Rakuten when doing this; the $$$ will be flowing, and it will tell you where to find the best discounts for items you’re shopping for.

Last Tip!
Always, always read labels! Some places we’ve linked to below don’t sell only natural-fiber clothing. So you should always check tags and descriptions before purchasing. There are some places, like Wayve and Jungmaven that sell 100% natural-fiber, but a lot of places have a mix of both.
Tops
Starting off at the top…with tops…ah-hah, yeah, I know, it wasn’t that funny.
- Jungmaven – makes cotton/hemp clothes in unisex sizes. I cannot stress enough that you need to check the size chart on every single thing on their website, because sizes vary wildly. Secondly, I really recommend Black Friday sales and Poshmark. Their vibe is more vintage/surfer beach vibes.
- FYI, they’ve got kids’ stuff too!
- American Giant – has both men’s and women’s options. They’re on the pricey side, but I really recommend them. Check Black Friday sales and Poshmark for deals! They have a variety of weights, but their heavier weight items like sweatshirts and waffle T’s are particularly cozy.
- Pact – they have both men’s and women’s options!
- Gap – there are lots of options for men, women, and kids if you filter your search results.
- Everlane – they’ve got 100% cotton shirts for men and women! I like to thrift my Everlane basic tees from Poshmark. I got one for $12 and another for $4 and rotate them both regularly through my wardrobe.
- Lucy & Yak – so many fun colors and prints here! If neutral isn’t your style, definitely check out Lucy & Yak, they have the coolest stuff. Check Poshmark too if you’re interested in thrifting.
- Pangaia – I haven’t tried this brand yet, but it’s on my shopping list. They sell men’s, women’s, and kids’ clothing. I’ve seen Pangaia on Poshmark too, so definitely check there!
- Doen – if you need some 100% cotton options that are giving whimsy, Doen is for you.
- Sezane – good news: Sezane has options for men, women, and kids. Bad news: you cannot filter your search by fabric. I recommend using the search button at the top and narrowing your filters after that.
- Lazy Oaf – I have the cutest bright yellow long-sleeve, 100% cotton top from Lazy Oaf that I thrifted on Poshmark. They’ve got lots of 100% cotton shirts for both men and women. Their tees are fun and typically have a design on them somewhere.
- Boden – has women’s and kids’ options.
- Madewell – has men’s and women’s options.
- Quince – has linen, cotton, and wool options for men, women, and kids!
- Reformation – has some options. Definitely check the label before purchasing.
- Veronica Beard – has some natural-fiber women’s tops.
- Marine Layer – has some men’s and women’s hemp/cotton/tencel and linen options.
- Wayve – has men’s basic tees and a women’s workout set (top and shorts).

Bottoms
- Pants/Shorts/Skirts
- Everlane – they sell 100% cotton jeans and pants and shorts for both men and women! They also have skirts. Both pairs I own I purchased from Poshmark, one of which was brand new with tags; I actually found it with the help of Beni.
- Tradlands – sells 100% cotton women’s pants. I thought they used to sell skirts too, but I’m not seeing any currently listed on their site.
- Lucy & Yak – they’ve got lots of women’s denim. I really recommend checking out their size chart. I’m still figuring out my size with them, but while I’m trying to figure it out, I’ve been thrifting the jeans at Poshmark so I don’t spend as much.
- Rudy Jude – men’s, women’s, and kids options. They’re very dedicated to using only plant dyes on their garments
- Jungmaven – offers casual 100% natural men’s and women’s pants, shorts, and skirts.
- Wayve – makes men’s natural-fiber activewear and also a women’s wool shorts set.
- MATE The Label – 100% cotton options!
- Veronica Beard – there are a few women’s natural fiber options here.
- Boden – lots of natural-fiber options for mom and the kids.
- Madewell – has men’s and women’s options.
Sleepwear
- Wayve – the sweatpants options from Wayve are in men’s sizes and are currently out of stock, but Wayve sells 100% natural-fiber clothing!

- Pangaia – they have lots of men’s, women’s, and kids options!
- Everlane – they have a lot of sweatpants that are only 70% or 80% cotton, but they also have a couple of options that are 100% cotton, like this one. The men’s options all appear to only be 67% cotton at their best.
- Harvest & Mill – there are available natural-fiber options in both men’s and women’s.
- Pact – the sleep options are mostly women’s. But Pact sells lots of other options for men.

One Pieces
- Dresses/Overalls/Rompers/Jumpsuits, etc.
- Tradlands – their style is typically oversized, and they have some cute shirred options.
- Doen – my sister is wearing a couple of Doen dresses in the pictures below. They have some super pretty 100% cotton options, and even some silk dresses. Honestly, I may have to raid her closet later…
- Lucy & Yak – if you want bright, bold, colorful pieces, Lucy & Yak is for you. They also have so many cute jumpsuit options!
- Frank & Eileen – they have lots of linen and cotton options.
- MATE The Label – not a big selection, but they have some shirred pieces.
- Pact – they have some natural-fiber dresses and jumpsuit options!
- Zara – has some linen-cotton blend dresses!
- Aerie – they actually have a pretty large selection of 100% cotton dresses, shirts, shorts, etc. to choose from, which I’ve linked to.
- Jungmaven – they have several comfy/casual options.
- Reformation – has natural-fiber options! Also, amazingly, their filter options actually let you sort by fabric, so that makes shopping so much easier.
- Marine Layer – has some cotton blend dresses
- Boden – again, for women and kids.
- Sezane – has some cute options for you and your mini you in cotton and even flax.
- Madewell – lots of cotton and cotton blend options.
Outerwear
- American Giant – they have lots of options, including both men’s and women’s. My BIL, husband, and I all have a version of the Classic Full Zip, and I cannot recommend it enough. It’s a very nice sweater, on the heavier/thicker side too.
- Bonobos – has men’s natural-fiber options. I would really recommend reading labels/descriptions though; some things are 100% wool, but some are a mix of several things. Also, some that are natural fiber might just be the lining of a jacket as opposed to the whole thing.
- Pangaia – oversized hoodies galore, in both men’s, women’s, and kids options.
- Tradlands – they have several sweaters to choose from with alpaca, wool, and cotton options.
- Gap – has all kinds of 100% cotton options for men, women, and kids.
- Quince – has just about everything in a natural-fiber option for your whole family, including options for your home, like bedsheets.
- Frank & Eileen – they’ve got some good workwear options.
- Veronica Beard – there aren’t a ton of options, but you can filter down results by fabric type.
- The Indian Market – I couldn’t not say this. If you ever find yourself passing through Perú, there are several places you can shop for 100% alpaca wool sweaters, like in Lima or Cusco.
Accessories
My favorite place to get a natural-fiber beanie or scarf is the Indian Market in Perú or in Cusco, Perú. But maybe that’s not a realistic day trip for everyone out there like it is for me – so don’t panic, you’ve still got options.
- Hats/Scarves
- Wayve – has a few 100% cotton hats on their site.
